The infosheet has been updated because the Vehicle Exhaust Emissions Rule has recently been revised to introduce a visible smoke check as part of warrant of fitness and certificate of fitness inspections from the end of October 2006. The revised rule is entitled Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Exhaust Emissions 2006. The revised rule has also deferred by one year the implementation date for the Euro 4 emissions standard for new diesel-powered heavy vehicles. |
